Lucky Strike leaves bowling alley behind

Michael DeMasi reports in the Albany Business Journal that the Lucky Strike Social bowling alley and bar is closing at Crossgates Mall, but will be replaced by another venue. The bowling alley will likely stay, with bumper cars and laser tag added to the new venue opening in October. The mall continues to try and lure less stores, and more venues that let people do something from watching a band, or playing a game. "We are forming partnerships with a couple of other attraction companies trying to form a more complete immersive entertainment experience," said Anne Whitney, the marketing manager for Apex, the company taking over the bowling alley in the Albany mall.
