The Columbia County Democrats are circulating a list of Election Day FAQs. We have augmented the answers to include Greene County information:
Q: What hours are the polls open for the General Election?
A: 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Q: Where are the polling locations in Columbia and Greene counties?
A: A full list of polling locations for each county can be found at their respective Board of Elections web pages. Those links are available at the WGXC Newsroom page at wgxc [dot] org.

Q: Where can I view a sample ballot?
A: Sample ballots for all localities in both counties can be found at their respective Board of Elections web pages. Links to those pages are available at the WGXC Newsroom page at wgxc [dot] org.

Q: What happens if a vote is cast via absentee but the person ends up here on Election Day?
A: The voter is advised to go to their normal polling location and vote on the machines. The machine vote will supersede the absentee vote.
Q: What happens if your name cannot be found in the poll books at your polling site?
A: First, confirm that you are at the right polling site. Second, ask to vote by affidavit; or, ask to see a judge for a court order to allow you to vote. If you have questions, call your Board of Elections, or you can also call the NYS Voter Protection Hotline at 855-VOTE-4-NY (855-868-3459).
