Nov 10, 2017 6:55 am
The Times Union is reporting the state Energy Research and Development Authority has awarded $500,000 to package company UPS to study converting its New York City delivery trucks from diesel to electric. The plan is to deploy the first electric trucks in the city this spring, and have roughly two-thirds of the company city fleet converted by 2022, a UPS representative said. UPS is studying technology developed by Unique Electric Solutions.
