The Troy Record reports that Hudson Valley musicians are rallying to Jason Martin's cause, after he was beaten in Troy in October. Martin who often played with Hudson's Bunnybrains and has toured with Lady Gaga, needed surgery after he was jumped by five men who got $15 from him. Martin often performs as Power Animal System, and often dressed as a lady with a wolf head. An online fundraising effort exceeded its goal of $3,500, and a benefit concert will be held Nov. 14 at the Takk House, at 55 Third St. in Troy, with Hudson's Bunnybrains and C Lavendar among the performers. Proceeds go toward covering medical and dental co-pays and expenses, medications, pharmaceutical equipment, food, utilities, and lost wages during his recovery. Read the full story in The Troy Record.
