Air service between Albany and Buffalo returns

Feb 15, 2018 6:30 am

Eric Anderson is reporting in the Times Union airline carrier OneJet launched service between Albany and Buffalo February 13. The carrier is using Embraer regional jets that offer extra legroom, free Wifi, beer, wine and snacks, and shuttles travelers between the state's two largest airports in just 35 minutes, said OneJet CEO Matthew Maguire. OneJet was approached by airport officials to consider service on the Buffalo route, and Albany offered two years of free terminal rent as an incentive to launch service. Service on the route had ended in 2010. Fares are expected to be in the $150 to $180 range each way. Flights operate Monday through Friday. Read the full story in the Times Union.
