Andrea Macko reports for Porcupine Soup that the Cairo-Durham Central School District Board of Education voted on July 6 to make Catherine Dodig the new high school principal. Dodig was previously a mathematics teacher at the Catskill Middle School. David Proper has been interim principal since March 9 after Jeremy Moore resigned on February 16. The school district did not reveal why Moore left. Dodig was born and raised in Saugerties, and coached soccer and softball in Catskill. Dodig said, "I am eager to familiarize myself with the community and its members over the upcoming months and am passionate about bringing community pride to life; both inside and outside of the school buildings."
