Remember to register your snowmobile
News10 in Albany reports that as the first snows of the year fall locally, the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles reminding New Yorkers that their snowmobile registrations must be renewed annually. Mark J.F. Schroeder, DMV Commissioner and Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee Chair, said, “Winter activities like snowmobiling are important to many of us here in New York.... [The] DMV is happy to assist customers in getting their snowmobiles registered and ready for use, and we urge all enthusiasts to ride responsibly and never while they are impaired.” Snowmobile owners can complete an online registration and print a temporary certificate that is valid for up to 15 days., while the DMV mails a permanent registration card with the validation sticker.
