MoneyInc. [dot] com has named Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute one its "20 Worst Colleges in America in 2019," The private research university based in Troy made the list because of its "poorly written policies which have been used by the administration to quell free speech.... You can’t even hand out a flier on the property without gaining prior authorization." The school has punished students who speak with the media about the policies, as well. California State University at Long Beach and Georgetown University also made the list for their efforts to inhibit free expression among enrolled students. Additional schools made the Worst Colleges list based other criteria, such as average student debt, graduation rate, annual cost and the overall ranking of the institution. Read the full story at MoneyInc.
