The band for this performance, The Ardent Admirers, includes Spike Priggen (The Bedazzled Radio Hour) on guitar and vocals, John Burdick on lead guitar, Ted Lawrence on guitar, Brian Dewan on accordion and Dewan-a-tron, Andy Shernoff on bass and Doug Wygal on drums and percussion. Guest singers include Robert Burke Warren and Peter Aaron, with Lincoln Barron on guest saxophone. Holly George-Warren gives a reading from her 2014 biography, A Man Called Destruction: The Life and Music of Alex Chilton, From Box Tops to Big Star to Backdoor Man.
