Trial of former city alderman begins

Amanda Purcell is reporting for Columbia-Greene Media a jury was selected in Columbia County Court Mon., Jul. 10, to hear the case against former Hudson alderman Quintin Cross. He has been accused of making unauthorized ATM withdrawals with a former girlfriend's debit card in August 2016. Cross has pleaded not guilty and is being represented by attorney Justin DeArmas. Five men and nine women, including alternates, were chosen from a pool of 40 potential jurors. Three people were excused and at least four jury members are college students. The trial will begin at 9:30 a.m., today, Tue., Jul. 11, with opening statements from Columbia County District Attorney Paul Czajka and DeArmas. Read the full story at HudsonValley360 [dot] com.
