Catskill High principal Patrick Wemitt retires

Catskill High School will have a new principal come September, Jim Planck reports in the Daily Mail. Principal Patrick Wemitt's retirement was accepted by the Catskill Board of Education, Thurs., May 31. Wemitt will stay on with the district through August 24. Wemitt was employed for 20 years by the Taconic Hills Central School District, as an elementary classroom teacher, the Dean of Students, and then assistant principal, before coming to Catskill as the principal of the elementary school in August 2004. Wemitt told the paper he will keep a strong memory of Catskill’s sense of community, as well as the positive satisfaction of daily interaction with students. Read the full story in The Daily Mail.
