Greene Co. considers pay hikes for officials

Ariel Zangla reports in the Daily Freeman Greene County lawmakers are considering raises for five county employees. The Legislature has now scheduled four public hearings on Mon., Nov. 19, to take comment on the proposals to raise the salaries of the county treasurer, clerk, administrator, sheriff and commissioner of the Department of Social Services. The amount of the salary increases vary, from 1.5 percent for the county administrator, to 17 percent for the county clerk.
