150 residents register for Greene Co.'s first testing site

Nora Mishanec is reporting for Columbia-Greene Media Greene County held its first public testing clinic May 16, at Catskill Middle School. A total of 150 pre-registered county residents were registered to be tested for the virus, with priority given to symptomatic people and people who work in essential services. The Greene County Public Health Department partnered with the Greene County Office of Emergency Management to offer the testing, which officials say will be the first in a series of clinics to come. Office of Emergency Management officials confirmed the next opportunity for residents to be tested will be in Coxsackie during the coming weeks. That clinic will be combined with a mobile food pantry for residents who require food assistance. On May 8, 80 people were tested at a clinic at Columbia-Greene Community College.
