Jimmy Vielkind is reporting at Politico New York a federal grand jury handed up a 14-count indictment Tue., Nov. 22, against Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo's former aide Joe Percoco and Alain Kaloyeros, the former former SUNY Polytechnic Institute President and CEO. The 36-page indictment does not name any new defendants, and reflects the same allegations contained in the criminal complaint unsealed in September. Todd Howe, a lobbyist close to Percoco, is cooperating with the government. He has pleaded guilty to eight felonies. Percoco was charged with six felonies stemming from what prosecutors allege were two separate bribery schemes. Barry Bohrer, the attorney representing Percoco, called the case "a real turkey," and said his client would be pleading "not guilty." Cuomo said in a statement Tuesday the news presented a "a profoundly sad situation for me personally" and called for further reform in Albany. Read the full story at Politico New York.
