Gillibrand agrees to shorter debate

The Albany Times Union reports that after Democrat Kirsten Gillibrand canceled her debate with Republica opponent Chele Farley, she has now scheluded a shorter debate for Oct. 24. Gillibrand and Farley were supposed to debate Oct. 21, but on Oct. 19 Gillibrand backed out, saying she would not cross a picket line in a labor dispute. Now, the incumbent senator has agreed to debate Farley, though just for 30 minutes at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 24 in the WABC studios in New York City.
