Kristina Lindström and Åsa Ståhl
Åsa Ståhl and Kristina Lindström’s joint artistic practice involves collaborations, stories, communication technology, and bodily experiences in public spaces including physical and digital platforms. Teaching and learning are integral parts of their creative efforts; they host workshops, write, and lecture on playful and non-anxious communication. Their collaboration started at the IT-research institute, the Interactive Institute, in 2004 with the art project [visklek](2005)—the traditional children’s game with worldwide equivalents (“Telephone” in English). In [visklek], the artists employ network technologies and other channels of communication to create an ambiguous and open system for user appropriation. Since then, they have continued their practice-led artistic research concerning collaborative storytelling, processes, and structures for participation on different platforms. Their work includes soundwalks such as Omvägar i ljud (2007) and Ljudstråk (2006-2007), a sounding swing titled Play in Reverse (2007–2009), and their bicycle performance and installation, Bike Circuit (2009).
