Glenn Coin at New York Upstate reports that the WGXC listening area is considered "abnormally dry," according to this week's U.S. Drought Monitor report. Little rain or snow has fallen this winter so far, which has the area just below drought stage. In Poughkeepsie, 4.37 inches have fallen, about half the normal 9.5 inches of precipitation.
