Nuestra Música: The multicultural Show (Audio)

Today we are featuring a Porutguese version of John Loudermilk Road Hog, by Brazilian composer and singer Roberto Carlos, with the Portuguese titled of Mi Cacharrito. After that another multicultural musical event with ZZ Top singing in Spanish Francene, on the Languages portion we are presenting Joan Manuel Serrat and two songs sung in Catalán, other artists featured today are Cesar de Guatemala, La Sonora Santanera, Julieta Venegas, Los Angeles Azules, Joaquin Sabina, Sandro, Sergio y Estíbaliz, Eduardo Falú, Victor Jara, Cuarteto Zupay, Illary and Sanampay.

“Nuestra Música,” “Our Music,” presents the rhythms and folklore of Latin America, Spain, Portugal, and Cape Verde. From Tango to Flamenco and all Latinx music in between. The show explores the native instruments, languages, and traditions played in 22 countries and one territory. Other than Spanish and Portuguese, "Nuestra Música" presents songs in Quechua, Mapuche, Guaraní, Nahuatl, Gallego, Spanish Basque, and Catalán. Among many styles we present: Tango, Chacarera, Baguala, Zamba with a Z and Samba with an S, Bossa Nova, Cumbia, Llanero, Vallenato, Merengue, Parrandera, Son, Bolero, Ranchera, Corrido, Marimba, Fado, Flamenco, Sevillanas, Jota, Blues, Jazz, Danzon, Mambo, and many more. The countries presented are Argentina // Bolivia // Brazil // Cape Verde // Chile // Colombia // Costa Rica // Cuba // Dominican Republic // Ecuador // El Salvador // Guatemala // Honduras // Mexico // Nicaragua // Panama // Paraguay // Peru // Portugal // Puerto Rico // Spain // Uruguay // Venezuela.
