Jeanette Wolfberg reports in The Columbia Paper that the county’s hazardous materials vehicle is moving to the Claverack Fire Station from the Livingston Fire Department, according to Fire Coordinator William Hunt at the Columbia County Board of Supervisors Public Safety Committee meeting Oct. 20. The Public Safety Committee voted to move the legalization of sales of certain fireworks in Columbia County to the full Board of Supervisors. Supervisors Mike Benvenuto (R-Ghent) and Jeffrey Nayer (I-Copake) voted against the fireworks measure.
