Dec 07, 2017 1:43 pm
Matthew Hamilton reports in Capitol Confidential that there are 98 bills approved by the legislature waiting for Gov. Andrew Cuomo's signature by Dec. 18. The bills awaiting a signature include the Buy American Act, which forces certain state agencies to use American-made iron and steel for all road and bridge projects; the diversity film tax credit gives a tax break to companies hiring minority and women TV directors and writers; and the Charitable Gaming Act, which would allow New Yorkers to purchase charity raffle tickets with cash, check, or credit or debit cards. There are seven other bills in limbo, waiting to be moved to the governor's desk for signature. Read the full story in Capitol Confidential.
