Great Barrington road construction on both ends of town
Mar 24, 2021 5:31 am
Heather Bellow reports for the Berkshire Eagle that the main entrance to Great Barrington on the south side of town will be under construction for the next two years. Massachusetts Department of Transportation workers will begin construction at the intersection of Routes 7 and 23 this week, a $2 million project to replace the intersection with a roundabout. This is the main route into Great Barrington from New York along Route 23, and Route 7 becomes the town's main street. Meanwhile, at the other end of Great Barrington, the DOT's repair of the Brown Bridge on Route 7 is now painted red, and construction work there will be completed in June.
