Oct 26, 2022

Tune in for the WGXC Congressional Report, and new music from Catskill's Rodney Alan Greenblat. Plus, East Chatham is the home of the Flying Deer Nature Center. Tune in to hear from Devin Franklin, Program Director, talks about the Center’s philosophy, its wilderness school. Also, this November, voters will be asked whether they approve of the $4.2 billion Clean Water, Clean Air and Green Jobs Environmental Bond Act. $1.5 billion would go for climate change mitigation; $1.1 billion for flooding; $650 million in open space; and $650 million in water quality. Jessica Ottney Mahar talks about the bond act with WOOC's Mark Dunlea.

The show features local news, interviews with community leaders and personalities, a rundown of local and regional events, weather updates, and more about and for the community. The show is a place for a community conversation about issues, with music, and more. Saturday the emphasis is more on radio art, and art on the radio. Unlike shows by individual programmers on the station, the "WGXC Afternoon Show" is considered partially station-run. The Sunday version calls itself "Li Le, Le Tan."
