Perry L. Novak reports in the Times Union that Ichabod Crane Riders won the Class B state high school softball title last weekend. They won definitively, beating Depew 14-2 in the semifinals then Chenango Valley 12-0 in the title game. The team finished the year undefeated. Ichabod Crane only allowed other teams to score 13 runs all season. Both the semifinal and final games were ended early due to the mercy rule. The team also got state titles in 2018 and 2021.
