Joe Gentile reports in the Register Star Germantown Elementary School Principal Sue Brown has been chosen as the Germantown Central School District's new superintendent of schools. The board made the announcement, Wed., July 10. Brown was chosen from a field of 38 candidates. She succeeds Patrick Gabriel, who served in the district's top spot for nearly seven years. Brown signed a three-year contract, effective Sept. 1. A community stakeholder group, made up of parents, community members and staff, interviewed candidates in May, and provided feedback to the Board of Education.
