Greene group gets grant for homelessness

Community Action of Greene County was awarded $183,930 from the State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA), it was announced Fri., Aug. 10, ins a $2.6 million effort to help prevent homelessness in the Capital region. Besides Community Action, 14 other organizations are receiving funds through OTDA's Solutions to End Homelessness Program (STEHP). "STEHP is designed to reduce homelessness by providing prevention services to avoid shelter placements and rapid re-housing services for those who have already sought shelter," said OTDA Executive Deputy Commissioner Elizabeth Berlin.
