[/caption]Okay, it's not exactly US. The Mid Hudson News Network story is about something that occured way down in Newburgh, further south in the Hudson Valley. Nevertheless, it seems to say something about the times when a Salvation Army Captain says he is “shocked” that someone could walk off with 60 wrapped presents donated for children as Christmas gifts. The incident occurred on Friday, December 17 between 7:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m at the Salvation Army in Newburgh, during a moment when the agency's receptionist left her post to use the restroom. A Christmas party for a group of children was going on at the time. City Police brought in a K-9 to track scent, but because of the number of people in and out of the building and who touched the area around the missing gifts, the dog could not get a clear one. Seems the economy is bad.For the full story click here.
