Cuomo approval rating up

Nick Reisman reports at New York State of Politics that Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s job approval rating improved slightly in the latest Quinnipiac University poll released March 20. Cuomo got a 50 percent approval rating and a 41 percent disapproval in the latest poll, taken March 13 to 18. That's almost back to where it was last May, when he had a 54 percent to 39 percent spread. Senator Chuck Schumer is more popular than Senator Kirsten Gillibrand in the poll. Schumer scored a 54
percent approval, 36 percent disapproval, while Gillibrand, who has been busy in Iowa and New Hampshire running for president, got a 46 percent approval rating, and a 30 percent disapproval rating. And the poll showed that currently 65 percent of New Yorkers support “allowing adults in New York State to legally possess small amounts of marijuana for personal use” while 59 percent support the sale of legal marijuana in their community.
