The National Weather Service issued a Wind Advisory for Greene, Columbia, and all surrounding counties from 6 a.m. Friday through midnight. Winds could gust as high as 49 mph. Besides the wind, the NWS predicts Thursday in Cairo there will be rain, and snow showers before 4 p.m., then a chance of snow showers. High near 38. Friday night those snow showers should end before 9 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 21. The weekend forecast is cold:
• Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 24, low around 8.
• Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 25, low around 9.
• M.L.King Day: Sunny, with a high near 30.
