Free Speech Radio News faces fiscal hurdle

On Tue., March 5, the board of directors of Free Speech Radio News announced that the show will go off the air on March 15 unless $35,000 is raised. KGNU’s Maeve Conran has this audio report. The show is an independently-produced, half-hour daily national and international radio news program focusing on peace and social justice issues in the U.S. and around the world. It is a non-profit organization, with funding from Pacifica Radio Network, as well as community radio stations across the US and listener-donors. "Free Speech Radio News" airs Monday-Friday at 6:30 p.m. on WGXC 90.7-FM.
