Rhinebeck Dem selected to replace Tyner

MidHudsonNews [dot] com is reporting Rhinebeck Town Board member Brennan Kearney has been by the Rhinebeck and Clinton town boards to fill the Dutchess County Legislature District 11 seat vacated by Joel Tyner. District 11 is comprised of both towns. Kearney, a Democrat, was selected Feb. 6, and she will serve out the remainder of Tyner’s term which expires Dec. 31. She has indicated she will seek election to a full term in November. Kearney served as secretary to the Rhinebeck town planning and zoning departments from 2014-2015, and served on the town board from October of 2017 until being selected for the district seat, Wednesday. County Legislature Minority Leader Hannah Black, a Democrat, said, “Legislator Kearney will hit the ground running. She is extremely qualified with a wealth of knowledge in project oversight, budgets, zoning, planning and constituent services from serving on the Rhinebeck Town Board.
