Heat wave begins this weekend

Mike Goodwin reports in the Albany Times Union that the Hudson Valley can expect six straight days with temperatures in the 90s this weekend, the first time since 2013 for such a heat wave. This weekend temperatures are expected to reach the upper 90s. Sunday, July 1 could reach 97 degrees with the heat index, a combination of heat and humidity, making it feel like 107 degrees. Meteorologists and medical experts do not recommend working outside in the heat, and say everyone should drink plenty of water. Read the full story in the Albany Times Union.
