Price Chopper plan moves forward

Katie Kocijanski reports in the Chatham Courierthe five members of the Chatham Village Planning Board voted unanimously Mon., Jan. 21, to allow Price Chopper to proceed with plans to build a new, 45,000-square-foot supermarket in Ghent, with a portion in the village of Chatham. Chatham Associates presented an updated proposal for the project that included changes to the loading dock and the landscape prior to the vote. The project can now move forward. At the same meeting, the board also discussed a pending application from SoCo Creamery, a micro-creamery based in Great Barrington, Mass. The producer of ice cream, sorbet and gelato is looking to open a seasonal location at 2 Main St. in the village. Read the full story in the Chatham Courier.
