Hudson Farmers Market opens Saturday

Apr 23, 2020 1:00 pm
Jeanette Wolfberg is reporting for The Columbia Paper the Hudson Farmers' Market will open at 9 a.m. on Sat., Apr. 25, Virginia Ambrose, the market's manager, said last week. Ambrose expects 27 vendors to participate. To address social distancing requirements, the market is relocating to two locations: the city parking lot between 6th and 5th streets on Columbia Street, and the municipal lot at 6th and Columbia streets. The move will allow for more space between the vendors. The vendors will have gloves, masks and hand sanitizers and there will be a hand-washing station, as well, Ambrose said. The community tent, the craft tent and music have been “temporarily set aside, but they will return, don’t worry," she said. Hudson's is the largest farmers market in Columbia County. Other markets are located in Chatham, Copake, Germantown, Kinderhook, Lebanon Valley and Philmont. Each market is managed independently. Read the full story in The Columbia Paper.
