Mid-Hudson News reports that the state health department reported eight more deaths in the Hudson Valley from COVID-19. Three of those deaths were in Orange County, while while the other deaths were in Columbia, Putnam, Ulster, and Westchester counties. As the deaths continue, elected officials keep removing mandates meant to protect individuals from the virus. Masks, for instance, are not required any longer on mass transit in New York.
