May 24, 2013 6:48 am
Brian Hubert reports in The Daily Freeman the town of Cairo is giving serious consideration to solar power for its town buildings. The town is working with solar contractor New York Light Energy to look at ways to install solar panels at the library, the highway garage, Canna Park and the sewage treatment plant. In return, the company would sell the power to the town at a reduced rate. The Latham-based company specializes in providing solar installations mainly to large commercial clients like businesses and school districts. Read the full story in The Daily Mail.
