Karrie Allen is reporting in the Chatham Courier the village of Chatham has submitted its support of a grant proposal by the towns of Chatham and Ghent to fund the installation of two electric vehicle charging stations in the village. The stations will be located within the village -- in the parking lot next to Chatham Brewing is in the town of Chatham and the lot in Depot Square near Kinderhook Bank in Ghent. In addition to the village, the grant proposal has also received written support from the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce, the Columbia County Tourism Department, Chatham Area Business Alliance and the Columbia Land Conservancy. The zero emissions vehicle grant application was submitted to the Department of Environmental Conservation by the March 31 deadline. Read the full story in the Chatham Courier.
