Harvey retiring as Greene County highway superintendent

Jim Planck is reporting in The Daily Mail Greene County Highway Superintendent Gary Harvey will retire at the end of the month after nearly 21 years of service to the county. He is expected to be replaced as highway superintendent and director of solid waste by the current deputy superintendent, Robert Van Valkenburg of Coxsackie, on April 30. Van Valkenburg's appointment is scheduled for a vote by the full Legislature Wednesday. Read the full story in The Daily Mail.
