Crowe II reports in The Albany Times-Union that the Schodack Town Board voted unanimously Feb. 11 to restate its opposition to the Northeast Energy Direct pipeline that is proposed to pass through the town, Nassau, and Stephentown on its way through Rensselaer County into Massachusetts. Around 100 people attended the meeting, and Supervisor Dennis Dowds said the town is prepared to spend $20,000 to $40,000 in legal fees to oppose the pipeline application, currently pending from Kinder Morgan before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
