Three Democrats brag of fundraising totals

Chris McKenna at The Fray reports that three Democrats who want to challenge John Faso next year to be the local congressperson are eager to brag about how much money they've recently raised. Ahead of the Oct. 15 deadline for filing fundraising totals, Antonio Delgado, Gareth Rhodes, and Pat Ryan announced this week how much they have raised in the year's third quarter. Delgado, an attorney from Rhinebeck, says he has raised more than $400,000; Ryan, an Iraq war veteran and businessman, says he brought in $375,000 in donations in the third quarter; and Gareth Rhodes, a Harvard law student and former deputy press secretary for Gov. Andrew Cuomo, estimated $165,000 in donations. At the last deadline, Delgado and Brian Flynn had more campaign cash than Faso. Sue Sullivan recently ended her Democratic campaign, blaming fundraising in part on her departure. Read the full story at The Fray.
