Omi appoints new Director of The Fields Sculpture Park
The Ghent and New York-based not-for-profit arts organization Art Omi announced May 17, the appointment of Zach Feuer as Director of The Fields Sculpture Park. The Columbia County resident is a former galleries and co-founder of the New Art Dealers Alliance. He transitioned away from gallery work to focus on teaching in 2015. Feuer is also active in Democratic politics. Feuer replaces Bill Maynes, who served as Director of The Fields for nearly 10 years. Maynes will stay on as Director Emeritus at Art Omi, and Nicole Hayes will continue as curator. “We are thrilled to be working with Zach Feuer...,” said Art Omi Executive Director Ruth Adams. “Feuer’s visionary approach has established his place at the vanguard of art today. As Art Omi prepares for significant growth, we look forward to integrating Zach’s expansive vision into the Fields programming. Furthermore, Feuer is deeply invested in our local community, and shares Omi’s commitment to making challenging art accessible to all audiences.” Read the full press release at artomi [dot] org.
