Greenville Boy Scouts holding annual food event

The Greenville Pioneer is reporting Greenville Scout Troop 42 will hold its annual Scouting for Food event Sat., Nov. 14, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Scott M. Ellis Elementary School parking lot in Greenville. Boy Scouts will be collecting unexpired, non-perishable canned and dry goods for the Greenville Food Pantry. Each year the scouts of Greene and Ulster counties collect about 75,000 items that are used to restock the area's food pantries. Due to COVID-19 restrictions and with social distancing
in mind, contributors are asked to place the items to be donated the troop trailer that will be parked next to the Scout building. Information is available at the Greenville Pack 42 Facebook page.
