Planning board to meet about Dollar General findings statement

Feb 09, 2018 6:45 am

Debby Mayer is reporting for The Columbia Paper the Germantown Planning Board will hold a workshop meeting February 10 to look at the Findings Statement submitted by Primax Properties for the proposed Dollar General retail store. The store is to be located on Route 9G just north of Main Street. Stephen Reynolds, Planning Board chairman said, “The board would either add to it or accept it as written. A positive Findings Statement would mean that the applicant had mitigated the potential environmental impact to the greatest extent possible,” he said. The workshop is a public meeting and the board could take action, said Reynolds, but it is not a meeting to receive public comment. The project's state Environmental Quality Review process began two years ago. In other development news, at its next meeting February 13, the Germantown Town Board will consider extending the town’s sewer district. The planning board workshop meeting will be held 2 p.m., Feb. 10 at Germantown Town Hall, 50 Palatine Park Road. Read the full story in The Columbia Paper.
