Paul Smart

Paul Smart has been working as a local journalists in the Catskills and Hudson Valley for 25 years, in addition to work with such national publications as the Wall Street Transcript, San Francisco Chronicle and Christian Science Monitor. He has served as the editor of the award-winning regional newspaper The Mountain Eagle, the noted weeklies Phoenicia Times and OLive Press, monthlies Ulster Magazine and Rural New Yorker, and continues to serve as lead arts writer for Ulster Publishing's Almanac, and top reporter for The Woodstock Times. He is the author of two non-fiction books, has won numerous key arts grants and journalism awards, and lives in Catskill with his wife, artist Fawn Potash, and five year old son, Milo.
