Nov 09, 2017 2:35 pm
Matthew Hamilton reports in Capitol Confidential that Westchester County Republican Rob Astorino won't challenge Democrat Andrew Cuomo for governor next year, after losing the Westchester County Executive election Nov. 7. “Mr. Astorino’s focus right now is to ensure a smooth transition to the next administration,” Astorino spokeswoman Jessica Proud said Nov. 9. John DeFrancisco, and Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb may still challenge Cuomo. Read the full story in Capitol Confidential, a Times Union blog.
