Jammel Cutler reports for Columbia-Greene Media that tax bills for residents in the Ichabod Crane Central School District will be mailed by Aug. 31, and residents of Chatham, Ghent, Kinderhook, Nassau, Schodack, Stockport, and Stuyvesant will see their school tax bills around then too. Ichabod Crane Central School District Business Manager Mike Brennan said, “The bills are mailed by Aug. 31, and payment is set for Sept. 1 through the 30.... If you pay in the month of October, there’s a 2 percent penalty. After Nov. 1, all of the bills are handed over to the county. If someone hasn’t paid by Nov. 1, they will pay directly to the county. The county makes us whole after the new year on all of these unpaid taxes. Taxes can be dropped off at any time at the Valatie Bank of Greene County.
