Tesla seeks to expand sales across state

Joe Mauceri reports for WPIX that Tesla is attempting to expand their current exemption to the car dealership that alloww them to sell their cars from seven locations. Current New York law only allows new car sales through authorized dealer locations, and the only ones in the state are now in New York City, Long Island, and Westchester County. Now they're asking lawmakers to let them expand to places such as Albany, Syracuse, and Buffalo with 20 locations across the state. The push comes as the electric car maker introduces its affordable Model 3, so the company wants to reach more consumers. The company also plans to add more charging stations around the state.
