Rensselaer County Executive Republican nomination
Steve McLaughlin holds a slight lead with more votes to be counted. McLaughlin has declared victory, but Christopher Meyer says the election will not be decided until absentee votes are counted. McLaughlin is a current assemblyperson, representing Rensselaer County and parts of Columbia County. Meyer is the current assistant county executive.
