Susan Campriello reports in The Daily Mail Catskill Village officials have agreed to put the formation of the Catskill Joint Fire District to a public vote, Aug. 28. The Catskill Village Fire Dept. currently serves the village and parts of the town. The new district will extend from the village down Route 9W to Alpha Road and Old Kings Highway to the Ulster County border; west along Route 23A to Zwickel’s Hill; and north along Jefferson Heights to the Exit 21 Car Wash and along routs 9W and 385 to the Athens town line.
