CEDC to try again for Catamount Resort funding

Nathan Mayberg reports in the Register Star the Columbia County Economic Development Corporation will file an application on behalf of Catamount Resort with the Capital Region Economic Development Council. The resort is seeking funds to aid in the construction of a sewage treatment plant for a proposed condominium and hotel project at the ski area located in southern Columbia County. A $1 million consolidated grant application for Catamount filed by the CEDC last year was denied. Catamount has promoted plans for a 148-condominium hotel with a pool, banquet and restaurant space.
