Sarah Trafton is reporting for Columbia-Greene Media Coxsackie town officials this week are moving into their new municipal building, located at 56 Bailey Street. The newly built $2.7 million structure will house both the town hall and the highway garage. Construction began in April 2018. The town offices will be closed during the move, until Mar. 15. “We decided to consolidate our town administrative offices, town court and highway garage into one building,” Town Supervisor Richard Hanse said. “It ended up costing less than the first proposal we had to build a new highway garage seven years ago.” The town board voted at its Mar. 12 meeting to sell the now former town hall building located at 16 Reed Street. “I would love to see a business go in there to draw more people in and help with the revitalization of Reed Street,” Hanse said. The building is listed for $240,000. Read the full story at HudsonValley360 [dot] com.
